Birthday Celebrations

At Busy Bees, we love celebrating each child’s special day and creating joyful, lasting memories together.

Families are welcome to contribute a simple treat (such as cake, fruit, or cupcakes) to share with classmates. Please coordinate with your child’s teacher in advance so that we can make the celebration smooth and enjoyable for everyone.

To keep celebrations safe and healthy for all:

  • We kindly ask that families avoid bringing sugary treats and soft drinks.
  • Several children have food allergies, and many families value healthier alternatives.
  • As an educational setting, we are committed to promoting healthy choices and leading by example.

Need inspiration? We would be delighted to share ideas for delicious and healthy birthday treats that children truly enjoy. Just ask—we have plenty of suggestions ready!

Thank you for your cooperation and for being part of our Busy Bees team spirit.

Healthy Birthday Treat Ideas

To help make birthdays special while keeping them safe and nutritious, here are some fun and child-friendly options:

  • Mini Muffins – banana, apple, or carrot muffins (less sugar, still delicious)
  • Air-Popped Popcorn – a fun finger food that children love (lightly salted, no butter)
  • Apple Slices with Cinnamon – sweet and healthy without added sugar
  • Banana Bread or Oat Bars – filling, wholesome, and allergy-friendly when made without nuts
  • Veggie Sticks with Hummus – crunchy, fun to dip, and colourful
  • Yoghurt Parfaits – small cups layered with yoghurt and fruit (can be dairy-free)
  • Watermelon Cake – stacked slices of watermelon decorated with berries
